So many subtleties...

As you said above, most people do FL equivalency and forget about a lot of other details, such as pixel density, DoF control etc. Marketing departments are happy, reviewers are happy :D.

As I pointed out in a message above, something like the D7200 can be set in an extra crop mode that uses a part of the sensor almost the size of a m4/3 sensor. And it has 15Mpx in that mode. What would be the difference between a D7200+100-400 and a G85 + 100-400 in that usage scenarios? Framing and IQ wise I doubt we'd see any difference.

With one item I do agree wholeheartedly: APS-C DSLR are woefully under-lensed when compared with m43.

Since many can't or won't have two systems for different needs, that weighs heavily in favour of m43.
