Re: Photoshop retouching rates

If you are a pro at it - I mean fast - charge $100 an hour. An average price for someone who is not profecient might be $50. A novice, say $30. I say this because a real pro can make someone look great in 15-20 minutes. The healing brush (PS 7) is sooooooooo fast. Major hairplants are slightly more involved unless it's a simple clone job.

I just did a portrait session for a neighbor consisting of about 80
proofs. They selected 15 to be put in an album and 2 to be enlarged
to 16x20.
I took one of the pictures and gave it the "gramour look" in
Photoshop as an example of what can be done to enhance the
portraits and they loved it. They want me to do the same to all the
pictures in addition to fixing a bad acne case, a wandering eye
case and major liposuction and hair transplant operations. My
question is:
What is an average going rate ($ hr) for Photoshop retouching these
days? I don't normally do major retouching like this which is going
to take hours to do. Any advice on this matter would be greatly

Thanks in advace
