What is the difference? Horizontal printing vs dots

Hi all

I recently gave some of my prints out to a lab for print. They got printed on Hahnemhule Bamboo paper using Epson P9000, then I printed the exact same file on the same paper using my own printer (Epson XP-960).

With naked eye they both look exactly the same, can't tell the difference  however when I look at them under a loupe I see that the print which is done on my XP-960 is printed horizontally whereas the one given to a lab is printed with random dots.

Left: Epson XP-960 on Bamboo Paper | Right: Epson P9000 on Bamboo Paper

I am hoping someone can explain the science behind this as both prints look perfect.
