Question about electronic shutter on KP

Got my kp. Given that I was upgrading from k20d I was pleasantly surprised at how fast everything moves. Was kinda funny like I was going from the first iPhone to an iPhone X. Guess you don’t realize how slow your processor is until you use something much newer.

anyway still learning all my new features but was wondering why shake reduction can not be used with electronic shutter.  I guess I don’t see the advantage of using manual shutter ie why wouldn’t one use electronic shutter exclusively? But of course then you lose the “new” 5 axis image stabilization? I guess I am missing something in my understanding of all of this.

Thanks for any help!
