Panasonic video AF development (GH1 vs latest models)
Jan 19, 2018
Some people are saying that GH5 video AF is unusable. Some people say that it is much better than it was in the previous models.
I was one of those who pre-ordered GH1. AF in video was not perfect, but still very usable. When I got GH2 I noticed that the AF speed was slower but perhaps smoother. I now have a G7, and I feel that the AF speed is not much better than it was with GH1. My GH1 has since died.
Am I just getting old, or was video AF of GH1 already nearly as good as G7/G80/GH5?
Please show me some examples of GH1 AF. The best I got from YouTube is this: https://youtu.be/FCgOYCu47r4
