Re: Anyone tried a Tokina 300mm f2.8 ATX ?

As a follow up, I did find an image of the farmhouse and barn that are 4.5 miles away taken with a Sony A99 full frame camera (not crop sensor like the A6000 used previously) and the Tokina 300mm @ f2.8. Taken on a different day, with different light. But it does show that the decentering issue doesn't seem present.

And just for comparison, I am adding another image taken at the same time at f9.5 which I can see the detail is finer than at f2.8. You can also see the difference in DOF between f2.8 and f9.5.

Also looks like I hand held that day since the branches are in a different place.

Sony A99 with Tokina 300mm @ f2.8

Sony A99 with Tokina 300mm @ f9.5
