P900 reaches Gold Standard.

Some time ago I mentioned that I had tried to attract Goldfinches to my garden using Nijer seed.

This worked a bit on my patio, but there were too many sparrows around and this tended to frighten off the odd Goldfinches that ventured there.

Then I read that a better food would be sunflower chippings. So I bought another feeder and a bag of the stuff.

I also moved the feeders to a more isolated place.

Result? Dozens of Goldfinches clamouring around the feeders.

Chaos to put it mildly. If it's possible to get drunk on sunflower chips then they managed it.

An extremely timid bird. Difficult to photograph.

However I managed to catch a pic of one through a double glazed window in the pouring rain.

Also a blue tit which unfortunately wasn't rainproof.

Crap images, but better than nothing.

Do not fly without your umbrella.
