Hike / Bike / Travel Tripod

Looking for a travel / hiking / cycling trip tripod - for landscapes and occasional job sites (architectural / timber frame work). I have a MePhoto Backpacker (aluminum) and it flexes quite a bit in the wind (even with the center column down) and when using my pano / nodal head.

I've looked at everything from RRS (I have their Gimbal / Pano setup) to Gitzos and no-name Amazon stuff. Looking for stiff, somewhat light. It seems fewer leg segments and carbon fiber are where I'm headed - but wanted some opinions first.

Canon M6 + 18-150, 11-22 or the 22. Occasionally the 50 1.8 on adapter. I will be experimenting with filters as well. Can go on outside of a backpack or my messenger bag - so not too worried about folded / collapsed length. I will likely be adding a full frame setup to my gear in the next year or two - so I'd like to future proof a bit.

Any thoughts from the M forums?
