Simple Images for your critique

Two recent images, one on the Ocoee River in TN, and one from forest near my home. The second image is OOF due to my right-hand tremor. The light was low and I was shooting hand-held with my old Panny Z. Wanted to use a low ISO to keep noise down. The boulders in the first image are usually completely covered with the river, but the water is controlled upstream at the TVA dam. On first glance it's 'just a bunch of boulders', but the more I look at it the more I notice the shapes and details of the rocks- smoothed by hundreds of years of water erosion. It's hard to take an appealing image of a 'bunch of rocks' but I think my composition ability is challenged by such mundane scenes. I think a good photographer can make almost anything appealing, so I'm working on it.

Cheers,

Gary
