I have a Panasonic G7 working as a travel photographer + videography but I also have started to do some real estate work. I have the 25mm f.17 which does the job and I have a Canon 50mm f 1.7, Canon 10-22mm f 3.5-4.5 and a Canon 100-400 lens. I don't know if I should go for the 12-35 Panasonic or Metabones ultra with a Sigma 18-35. I don't know if I should future proof and buy Canon glass or go Panasonic... Any ideas? Thanks

It's not about future proofing, rather than what you need.

Add that a Sigma DC EF lens will only future proof as far as an aps-c image circle is concerned and the flange focal distance is the same as the regular EF mount (which is handy for the Speed Booster, but not so compact). The 18-35 is a very good lens but do you really need that speed?  I have indulged in a few Sigma DC EF lenses and I consider that there is some future proofing involved but there is a bit of dilettante there in that I enjoy and can afford my lenses - for commercial use spend no more money and collect no more lenses that you truly need for your business and I am sure that there is a good oem M4/3 lens that will do the job.

Sigma 18-35 plus speedbooster is pretty much the gold standard for videography. But that thing is a beast. 1kg with the speedbooster on. If you need the low light performance and impeccable image quality it provides, by all means, you won't be disappointed.

The 12-35 is almost as good optically, comparatively tiny and offers weather sealing and OIS. But at f/2.8 it's pretty slow for low light.

Can't have everything. You gotta decide what's more important for you. Also, keep in mind, the 10-22 will not play nicely with the speedbooster. EF-S lenses need some brute force physical modification to attach on the speedbooster.
