Solved!

Finally I bought 24 105 F4 USM L on eBay, 520$ including shipping in good condition, made in 2012 judging from serial number. Should arrive in a few days.

As one of the members above stated, 24 70 F4 is quite soft from 35 to 50mm, which actually is becoming my favourite field of view on APS-C. Also, size will not be a problem, because my bag can fit 55 250 mounted on body, and that is the same length as 24 105.

I haven’t noticed this softness you mention and i use my 24-70 more on my 5D4 than any other lens. It can hold its own against my 24-70 f/2.8 mkii, and unless you pixel peep you would tan know the difference. I’d take my own experience over a 4 year old review, but i know a lot of people get hung up on numbers and not their own judgment.

The 24-105L is not a particularly sharp lens across the whole range, but it is a nice range.

Anyway, enjoy your new lens, i hope it works out for you.
