FILM SLR KNOWLEDGE SUMMARY courtesy of YOU!
2

I started a recent thread about a purchase of an F100 and was absolutely delighted by all the information I received in response. As a thank you, I will list a brief summary of the thread to help others looking to go retro in the future. I added posters info so you can PM them with further questions...Enjoy! The consensus seems to be that the top 3 Nikon film SLR's are the F100, F5, and F6.

  • F100 Manual - Sacrifices some features of the F5 for a smaller package
  • F5 Manual - excellent build quality and good for balancing telephoto lenses
  • F6 Manual - The most advanced Film SLR Nikon ever made, noted for it's silent film advance motor.
