It's pretty unlikely that Fujifilm will update the S5pro as that was a Fujifilm sensor in a Nikon body and the current range are Sony sensors in Fujifilm bodies...

Anyway!

What settings do you use for jpegs?  The X series have really good film Sims so if you are liking things like the Velvia simulation for SOOC jpeg you will find similar ouput but with a lot more pixels.

What isn't as easy to find is jpegs that have that balance of soft highlights and detailed shadows in high dynamic range scenes - the S5Pro is spectacular at that.  It also has a very cinematic and film like feel to the ouput.

However with the X series if you shoot raw plus jpeg you can play with the jpeg ouput in camera and might be able to get some presets (in camera) that you like as much as your current output then just run with that!

As for speed - I don't remember much being slow about it, the 11 AF points might be a hindrance if you're used to modern AF selection and possibly the image review is a bit slow by today's standards but in actual operation I always found it a quick camera with dedicated controls for lots of functionality.
