Would a decent Canon or Nikon FF mirrorless sway you from Sony?

Todays rumour about an upcoming Nikon FF mirrorless shows serious competition is on the way.

What sort of features would the upcoming Nikon FF mirrorless have to have to make you interested over your Sony?

I am  thinking a D850 in a small body plus IBIS would be very stiff competition for A7r3.

What advantages would the Nikon likely have?

Built in intervalometer, better menus, better touch screen implementation, no star eater and other issues that Nikon don't have. Compressed lossless RAW formats. Better weather sealing. Wider lens choice although if they do use a new mount then there would be a small choice of initial lenses like Sony had a few years ago. Perhaps a better looking camera. A7r3 looks fine but there are other cameras that look better- Fuji XT2 for example.

IBIS would be one big Sony advantage. Nikon could possibly make a better AF system but perhaps not with mirrorless - perhaps a big challenge from them there.

Sony would likely have the edge with video.

All speculation and all good fun.

Greg.
