The G7 is leaving the shelves, will soon be discontinued, and you should easily find new ones at bargain prices.
I bought mine at Black Friday 2017 sale from FNAC (a major brick and mortar + web store in France), bundled with the 14-140, for only 100 € more than the lens alone.
I didnt need it but I wanted the 14-140. And the G7 proved a very nice experience, I will keep it.
It only lacks IBIS, which IMO is the main advantage of more recent models.
It also is prone to shutter shock, like most M43 cameras were until recently, which is solved in newer models by new shutters with electronic first curtain, and in the GM7 by switching to full electronic shutter (as for G7, this has been adressed by firmware upgrade adding an optional auto switch feature).
Your reply about the firmware upgrade interested me Tatouzou.
What does the auto switch option do?

In the early G7 firmware, the user could choose between mechanical shutter or electronic shutter.
After the firmware upgrade, which is already ancient, the user can choose a third option, called auto, in which the camera will automatically switch to electronic shutter when the shutter speed is set to a value known to be prone to shutter shock on the lens mounted.
This features works only with Panasonic OEM lenses, and is lens depending: among the 5 lenses I own (12-32 f3.5-5.6, 35-100 f4-5.6, 14-140 f4-5.6, 25 f1.7 and 42.5 f1.7), it applies only to the 14-140 for shutter speeds between 1/60 and 1/320. I guess Panasonic engineers estimate that the other lenses are not prone to shutter shock.
But of course the user can decide to force e-shutter whenever he wants (silent mode), which I sometimes do when using the unstabilized 25 f1.7, or at the long end of the 14-140 (100 and above).
Go to know as I have a 14-140mm lens.
There also need to be an auto option to switch the camera temporary to mechanical shutter when the pop-up flash is used, then when finished with the flash the camera returns to the electronic shutter. Maybe I could suggest it to Panasonic should they include it in an software update.
