Is Panasonic gear's reliability and durability levels comparable to Canon/Nikon gear?

I've replaced it with an as-new metal mount 14-42 - much lighter - and I'll use the 45-150, also a lightweight, for the long shots. Sometimes a nuisance to swap lenses or cameras, but more durable for fieldwork, I think.

Thanks for posting these it really looks you used it to hit a brick wall, I never had a lens looking like that in over 40 years of photography 😉
