William Harnett’s Monocular Depth Cues

Harnett is one of my favorite artists, and I have long marveled at the depth with which he skillfully imbued his still life paintings. So....I decided to squeeze some of those depth cues out of a single 2D image of my favorite Harnett painting and use them to conjure a stereo image pair....and here’s the result, arranged for crossed gaze viewing - which, I gather, is the favored viewing method hereabouts.

All comments and critiques are welcome.
