First time Fuji user - Excited!
Jan 6, 2018
Hi all!
I have been in the forum for a while but have been a Nikon user since the beginning.
My first ever digital camera was a Nikon D1 back in the early 2000's. From there, i stuck to the Nikon system going to the D1h, D2h, D3/D800, etc. I also use a Canon 5D mk II/III and Blackmagic URSA for videos. In all my bodies, I use Nikon F mount lenses.
I wanted a "retro" look camera for travel and deeply considered the Df (nice look, compact size, D4 sensor, f mount) or the x100 series / x series camera. The choice was made easier when the wife surprised me and ordered a mint condition x100t as a gift!
I have been reading as many "tips and tricks," settings, and reviews as I can. Overall, I can see that it is a great camera.
So far, I have seen that I would need an extra battery (or 3 or 4) to last a day. I also have a x1t-f on order. I do have 2 Flashpooint xplor 600's and some TT600's which I use for my current system.
I am excited to use the wifi function to quickly transfer from camera to phone for some quick travel IG updates. Even though its jpeg only, I look forward to this (coupled with the Fuji film simulator which honestly I am intrigued and interested to see in action).
Any personal tips from experience? Any former Nikon D(x) body user have any transition tips?
So far for the year, we have trips to Utah, S. Korea, Japan, and Thailand booked. Hoping for a little bit more travel towards the end of year and using this camera more.
Thanks everyone! I look forward to being part of this section of the forum moving forward!
I should be receiving the camera from Adorama in a few days (NY-Socal shipping time).
