Olympus lenses typically don't have stabilisation (those that do are much more expensive). So it's not just that there will be no Dual IS. On your G7, there'll be no stabilisation at all.

Agreed that for the budget given, a used 12-35mm F2.8 might be the best route to go. It's a great every day lens that generally gives excellent results, but I often find myself wishing for just a little more reach. After reading your blog post, I think I may need to go for the 12-60mm after all.
