Re: Compact kit with best IQ for travel?

Hello. Just throwing another opinion into the mix.

From looking at your Flickr album to get an idea of the kind of photography you do, I'd suggest:

Panasonic GX85 for a nice all-around camera with IBIS and shoots decent 4K video if you want it.

Lumix 12-35mm F2.8 -- Excellent image quality and good basic zoom range. Plus, paired with a Panasonic body with IBIS, you get Dual IS which works quite well when there isn't much light.

Lumix 42.5 F1.7 for the portraits and flower macro shots you do. It's a tiny, but great lens and also benefits from Dual IS. Even without a camera bag, I put this lens into a small neoprene pouch like this one (image) and clip it onto my belt or put it in a pocket. I will usually pair the 12-35mm with the 35-100mm F2.8, but if traveling light is the priority, then the 35-100mm is much larger and doesn't focus very closely, so I'd leave it at home and take the 42.5mm instead.
