Someone suggested an E-PL8 for true EFCS, but I actually prefer full e-shutter on my E-M5ii, but I can't tell from the E-PL8 manual if it supports this. So which compact bodies have a fully silent e-shutter like the E-M5ii?

I don't know about Panasonic, but for Olympus you have: Pen-F, E-M10II, and maybe the E-M10III. The E-PL8 has the 0Sec Anti-shock feature only - like the original E-M10 did after the firmware upgrade, still a great feature for eliminating that Shutter Shock, it's not silent.

If I had to wager a guess for Panasonic, I'd think anything as new or newer than the GX85 would have an electronic shutter. The GX8 will likely have one too, but it's a bit bigger than the GX85 or even the Pen-F.

How about the E-P5 - does it have full e-shutter, or is it like the E-M5? The local store has a demo stock E-P5 kit with 17/1.8 and VF-4 kit for $725 CAD, which is only $250 more than the 17/1.8 lens alone. I'd probably sell the VF-4, or maybe keep it to use on the E-PM2 and sell the E-P5.

They also have a used TG-4 for $250 CAD, which seems like a good price, although I already have an older Stylus Tough, but it doesn't shoot RAW.
