This isn't what I saw in my testing so perhaps it's a case of Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV).

From my Fixed Pattern Noise (FPN) testing I measure column and row "metrics" as well as creating heatmap visualizations:

You can see that the 6D in the lower left looks less uniform than the 6D Mark II in the lower right.

This is reflected in the metrics.
The 6D illuminated metrics are higher than the 6D Mark II (zero is perfect, the lower the better).

Bill, I'm wondering is there any variation on FPN measurements? Did you measure multiple bodies?

I'm sure there is some variation. I don't often get to perform the FPN test on multiple bodies.
