You can also assign the Focus Mode on to the Q.Menu to save one valuable fn button.

Thanks Albert: but that places the control around the area of the 4-way set and all of those buttons are awkward to identify if you can't see where your thumb or finger is very clearly. I'm happier with the Fn3 button above the LCD and approximately where the toggle is on the GX7. I can tell where I am even with my eyes shut and with the camera mounted in any position on the tripod. I'll sacrifice the 4k mode as I don't use it very often.

As fn3 is the easiest place for my thumb to feel and locate it when I am concentrating on evf, I mapped the Dial Operation Switch to it allowing me to control 2 extra features by the front and back wheel. I fixed a small rhinestone over fn3 to help me feel it .

I use fn1 for the Q.Menu, and as all 5 soft fn keys on Tab Menu be occupied, I can only put Focus Mode (not AF/MF which is handled by the left cursor button already) on the Q.Menu. The advantage to use Q.Meu is that I can do my selection on LCD (or through evf by the left and right cursor + Set button). On last Christmas night it was too dark to find the buttons without a pen light. The options displayed on the LCD/evf allowed me to pick and change them easily. Wishing the Shooting mode can also be controlled through the LCD like GF3 does, I can forget a pen light forever.
