Wish list for 2018?

In my opinion 2017 was a very strong year for Panasonic and 2018 look like it will be equally as strong with the G9 bridging the gap of 2017 and 2018. A lot of the gear they released in 2017 I'm interested in and 2018 look like will be another crazy year for them.

So here's my wish list for 2018

1. GH5 firmware update.

I wouldn't be surprise if a lot of GH5 end up on the 2nd market with a lot of people drifting to GH5s and less towards the G9. I know it's impossible due to hardware limitations for the GH5 to have all the G9 features but it would be nice to have some of these features if possible.

2. Panasonic Leica 50-200mm 2.8-4

We know this lens is coming and hopefully we will see this lens announced along with the GH5s in January. So hopefully we will start getting the lens around April?

The Canon 100-400 mkii had received a lot of praises for it sharpness and just being the go to zoom lens for short to mid telephoto focal lengths. It would be great if the 50-200 is going to be sharper than the PL 100-400.

3. 10mm

I own all the lenses I need except for a quality mid tele zoom lens which we will be getting in 2018. That save me carrying both the 35-100mm 2.8 and the 100-400mm. The only thing I don't own next is a super wide lens. There the 8-18 but I feel it clash too much with the 12-35, plus the cost and I rather have a smaller plus cheaper prime instead.

4. Holidays

Other than the 50-200, I'm happy there isn't any more gear that catches my attention. I rather spend my spending money seeing the world rather than glass that end up sitting at home most of the time.
