ZR1000 is only 13x or so, therefore easier to make a less distorsive (is that a correct English word?) lens. Remember the Tamron 16-300 is reasonably straight.

Less distorted lens sounds better English.

A 24-450 lens is more difficult to straighten out and the 19-95 probably unrealistically difficult to straighten. Remember these are cheap cameras so aspherical or ED elements are difficult to afford.

My guess is that not only is distortion plentiful on the more extreme lenses but also more difficult to correct, like mustache shaped. Therefore Casio doesn't want to give you a DNG that would take an expert to straighten out. Remember these are cameras for selfistas.

Sure, they are aimed at young women taking selfies. The ability to produce DNG files is a strange idea as far as I'm concerned.

How is AP compared to FastStone btw? Checked their website and right now there is a year end sale at only 40 dollars (US).

Affinity Photo is a way more comprehensive edit program and way ahead of the simpler Faststone toolbox program that is free, or at least donateware.
