Need or Lens Lust?

That is always the most difficult question we ask ourselves.
I was pretty content with my "go-to" portrait lens - the good old trusty 80-200 f/2.8 (2 ring)...Until the prices for 135mm's came down.
I have lusted over the 135mm lenses and most of my portraits tend to be in the telephoto realm. I am looking at the now sub 1k USD Nikkor 135 f/2DC or the 1.5K USD Sigma 135 f/1.8.

I have always wanted the 135mm (then the f2DC now either of the 2).

Below are some examples of portraits that I typically shoot.

For those that shoot with either (or both!) of the 135mm - Nikon or Sigma - is there any practical difference (besides the aperture of course) to my current portrait lens? What can be expected as a difference in IQ?

Here are some of my recent stuff from the 80-200.
