Disapointing lens for a disapointing system Locked

Mine came as a kit lens with my X-T2 I bought one year ago. I was coming from a dual system m4/3 (pana gh3) and FF (canon 5d classic). I wanted to unify on one quality system to build on. The so acclamed Fuji APS system seem to be the right one.

Since I got it I wasn't able to really shoot a keeper. I found the shots I made dull and soft with bad colors, and really bad skin rendering (no detail ). I got lot of under average results. So many things were said about fuji jpeg quality but it is not making it for me (even with other lenses I tried).

I allready had to wait many monthes for a firmware update to solve the peripheric lens correction problem in video. and still more important I know I canot take this system on a pro gig I completely loses faith in this system. Not enough reliability

I had way better results with my Pana GH3 and LX100 (except for landscape, for sure) wich is a pity when you think of it and I prefer not to talk about my 5D.

I know there are primes but I need a standard and stabilized zoom lenses for video. So the 16-50 canot be seen as a replacement and waiting for the next stabilzed sensor camera either. I cannot double every lenses.

And now I regret a lot my panasonic 12-35 2.8 and I understand how a great lenses it was and I regret my canon lenses too...

Perhaps it's better than any plastic kit lenses from other manufacturers, but in no way it is a great lens.

The small fuji lens lineup is now a real worry because there is few or no alternative if a lenses is not making it for you. And all that stuff is killing my pleasure to shoot with this system. After being really happy to change I am really thinking to go back to PANA (GH5 or G9) or try Sony.
