That's not true if you live outside of the US, Panny service in the UK and in Europe is in my experience excellent. For some reason Panny don't seem to take US customers as seriously as they do the rest of the world.

From what I can read in forums, consumers cameras service in Europe and Canada, whatever the brand, seems to be better than in the USA.

On the other hand, new cameras are often much more expensive in Europe, which may account for a better repair service and the two years legal guarantee in UE.
