Nikon 1.4g primes - focusing speed

Hello, i am proud owner of the 24, 35, 58, 85 beasts

they are fantastic and i wouldn't trade them for anything else.

However, there is one issue with them which i have and that is capturing dancing peoples at events. this means, sometimes it is dark, sometimes dj lights etc...basically low light venues.

i mostly use middle points and AFC back button fcusing

I have really hard time to nail focus during these parts of the events, i have D750 and cycling thru the setting with mixed results...they are so slow to focus...

sometimes i really thinking that if a 24-70 can improve this...shooting at 1.4 is really a pain, but if the shot gets nailed its beautiful...was trying to shoot at 2.8 - 4 but the keeper ratio didn't improved much and more on this,  flash killed ambient even if i set the iso 2 stops higher...

do you have any advices which work with focusing in these situations?
