A few shots from yesterday in South Florida

I took a drive up to Green Cay and Wakodahatchee wetlands in Delray Beach Florida. They are two very interesting wetland parks about 35 minutes north of where I live. I met up with Justin (zackiedawg) and he showed me two incredible places to shoot a very wide variety of wildlife. Here are only a few of the species I was able to shoot in a very short time.

It seems like this birds foot is way too big for it, not sure why it was in the position it was.

Same bird, a few minutes later. The colors in these birds are extremely bright.

I liked the sharpness in his head.

An older Iguana in a tree.

A gater on the prowl.

A baby gator

Just a small bird, wish I knew what it was?

A Kingfisher, this was way off and an extreme crop.

This rabit was munching on the leaf in front of it.

I like to catch two birds in one shot, make photos more interesting, IMHO.

Sitting on their nest, resting after doing 'the wild thing'

Another interesting bird, tri-color, I think.

Those two wildlife reserves are packed with intereting wildlife, and all within a very short distance from you. It was a fun and interesting day, I hope you enjoyed a few of the shots as much as I did taking them.

Life is short, make the best of it while you can!
