Olympus E-M10 III vs Panasonic GX80/85

I'm ditching my D300 and expensive set of lenses, because I want to get something much lighter, with similar image quality. I really find the Micro 4/3 system intriguing. I've narrowed down my choices to two cameras: Olympus E-M10 III and Panasonic GX80/GX85.

My requirements are:

  • Reliable AF for still shooting (I don't care about continuous)
  • Image stabilization
  • 4K video
  • $500-700 price range including kit lens
  • Best image quality possible for the price
  • Good viewfinder
  • Easy to control

I was inclined towards GX80, but then I read about the terrible EVF... Viewfinder is a deal breaker for me. Is it really that bad on the GX80?

I read multiple posts and reviews about these cameras and the advantages/disadvantages basically boil down to:

  • GX80 has much better continous AF
  • GX80 has a bit better video quality and the AF is actually usable
  • GX80 kit including 12-32 mm lens is a steal, E-M10 III kit is about 35 % more expensive
  • E-M10 III has a much better viewfinder
  • I very much prefer the look of the Olympus, plus the controls layout really appeals to me

Did I miss something when doing the research? Are there other cameras you'd recommend?
