Will most MFT lenses provide enough resolution for a 24 mpx sensor?

perhaps my question is plain silly. But I was just thinking that if/when a 24 mpx sensor arrives would the current crop of consumer MFT lenses be able to deliver? I assume the more pixels you pack on a tiny area the greater demand is put on the glass to provide enough resolution to gain anything by having more pixels? I think I read the with the new Nikon d850 not all nikkor lenses could out-resolve the 46 Mpx sensor.
