24-70/2.8 GM vs 24-105 for landscapes and portraits.

I know there is very little available on the 24-105 as we wait for them to become more readily available, but in the meantime, since many of us have looked over this argument before in other mounts, curious how people feel these two sense will perform for landscapes and portraits. That means sharpness at small apertures and sharpness and subject isolation at max aperture at the long end. Any thoughts from those who have used both? I have been assuming I would pick up the 24-70 the entire time, but starting to wonder if I should consider the 24-105 (also having second thoughts about the 12-24 vs the 16-35/2.8)
