Am I killing my camera?

Or at least the shutter?

I use a Canon EOS M5 mirrorless camera. I've been experimenting with time-lapse photography, using an intervalometer to take more than 1,000 images over the course of 90 minutes. This is in addition to a lot of routine photography. I've done more than a dozen of these time-lapse sessions so far, and hope to continue the experimentation.

Should I be concerned about prematurely wearing out the shutter with so many shutter releases?

Anyone know what the average lifetime of one of these cameras, measured in total shutter releases, might be?

Should I make plans to replace my poor abused M5 sometime soon?
