I've only had my K1 for about 3 weeks, but I've been on several hikes checking it out with old FA primes. Shooting manual, I have noticed that neutral, looking through the OVF doesn't give me a perfectly exposed shot. It is too dark on average by two lines (I suppose each line represents 1/3). I have to lighten the shots in Lightroom. So, preparatory to my next hike I have reset the neutral -- two lines lighter.

I have had someone tell me that since I shoot manual it must be my fault, but I am shooting the same way as I did on all my Olympus DSLRs and now that I've moved to Pentax on my K20D, K7, K5, K5iis, K3, K3ii and K70.

To what "lines" are you referring to?

I don't know what you call them, but they are what you see when you look at the the light-meter through the OVF: plus marks on the right, minus marks on the left, and then a longer line in the center that "usually" means the shot is in focus -- those line.
