So....admittedly I have never used a Flash beyond the one that comes with the camera.
I currently own a Panasonic DMC - FZ1000. I bought it as a high end point and shoot and am happy with it looking to change. I'd like to maximize my skills with this camera. I've never had a particular issue with the flash on the camera....but I do have enough amateur knowledge to know that light can make the picture. So I have considered getting an additional flash for the camera. I have a few questions.
1. Given that I am not looking to get a top of the line DSLR will an additional Flash actually make a difference in the photos I take.
2. How do I know what type of flash will work on my camera(remember total newbie in this department)
3. As kinda a follow up to that, how does my camera know to sue the "external" flash?
It may be that I am over thinking this, for what I do maybe the flash I have is enough, but I'd at least like to learn a little more about it.
