Using fn button to adjust exposure compensation

I obtained an NEX 6, and noticed that in aperture priority mode, the only way I can find to adjust exposure compensation is to press the bottom of the back control wheel, then use the control wheel to adjust.  I don't like this arrangement, and (aside from a dedicated dial) would like to be able to use the fn button to select exposure compensation mode.  You can program a multitude of different options to the fn button, but for some reason (which I can't fathom) exposure compensation isn't one of them.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to change that?  I also looked at Sony's custom applications but didn't see anything that would enable this.

Thanks in advance.
