Silver X100F finish softer than previous versions?

Folks,

I almost hate to ask this, knowing that I'll get a spate of "It's just a tool! Doesn't affect the photos!" responses, but knowing how helpful this group normally is, I'll risk the ridicule.

I know that scratches don't affect the images, and I love the camera, but I have seen 2 silver X100F's scratched (slightly) in spite of very careful handling and always being transported is a well-padded case. I use my cameras, but I also care for them like they are precision instruments. My much older X100S looks perfect except a bit of dust in the finder. Clearly I must have touched or scraped the X100F somewhere, but I really cannot think of any significant or even insignificant incident. The difference between my experience with the X100F versus X100S is leading me to ask - is there a difference in the finish between these two models - or am I just less lucky than I used to be.

Any inputs welcome - thanks guys!

Don
