Maybe not the correct thread but..

I've been away from printing for a long time.  Currently capture images using my Canon 5d mark 4.  My computer is an IMAC 27(mid 2011 running Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.1

I also have a PIXMA PRO 100 as part of my camera body purchase early this year.

Help I've fallen and can't get up.

I currently use the Apple Photos Application on the computer.

So, point me in the direction please of first calibrating the monitor/Imac, its never been done.  Need I purchase the calibration tools sold like spyder, etc?

And then point me in the direction for idiot proof printing.  I also have an old version of Lightroom and Aperture installed.

In need of tutorials I think.  This is only for the purpose of printing some of the images that are worthy for family and friends, not at all commercial.
