Lens Compensation on A7R III: the final say

the forum and the web is full of conflicting info.

The Lens Compensation function has 3 sub-options

1) Shading Comp (on by default)

2) Chromatic Ab. Comp (on by default)

3) Distortion Comp (off by default)

Q1: Which of 1,2,and 3 affect raw files? Manual does not explicitly say that RAWs are not affected.

Q2: In case any of 1,2 and 3 affect raw files, what happens when you apply the lens profile correction in LR? You apply another layer of correction (therefore with bad results) or LR is smart enough to apply different corrections depending on whether some corrections was already made in camera or not?

Q3: Is it better to leave everything OFF and let LR deal with it?
