Why is my 18mm f2 less contrasty and more washed out in this image than my 16-50mm?

Hi,

I just got my used fuji 18mm f2 and I'm having a play with some lego. Why are they images so different? Is this a known issue of the 18mm or have I got a faulty one?

Both images are RAF raw converted to JPG but the fuji black and white +R JPGs show the same issues. I'm using an X-T1.

The set up is two light heads each with 5 45W 5500K bulbs and a softbox with the front defuser removed, placed behind a white studio paper back drop.

18mm f2

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

16-50mm F3.5

Thanks!
