Panasonic will announce nothing, zilch, nada, zero. The latest rock-solid scuttlebutt  from 43Rumors is that journalists will be briefed about nothing or be compelled to say nothing. Maybe something to be divulged at CES in January, but not certain about that either.

Quite an "announcement." A bale of dry straw!

If the "event" is to distribute beta units to testers (typically not journalists), under NDA agreements, that would give too little time to incorporate feedback prior to CES. Maybe production versions would be ready in April.

The one plausible speculation is that the body would sell for >$2,500, or more than the GH5 and G9.

Perhaps the usable ISO level will rise from 3,200 to 6,400, but still fall shy of competing APS-c or FF models. The pixels could not be as large as those on the A7s2 sensor.

For low light, a Nocticron lens on a G7 would be cheaper. Anything 60p would require lots of light.

Without PDAF, the low light auto-focus would still be dodgy in video mode.

Oh, well....

I'm not quite sure your conclusion about PDAF is valid. PDAF pixels / sensors need a ton of light to be effective.

While video AF is obviously a bit different, from a stills AF perspective, Panasonic's CDAF is among the best in the business in low-light.
