Anyone use the Op/Tech Utility Sling? Advice wanted

I recently got the Op/Tech utility sling for my X-T20 and in the little time I have had to use it, I seem to like it. https://optechusa.com/utility-strap-sling.html

My issue is finding the best way to secure the camera so it is properly balanced at my hip, secure, and yet easy to shoot with. If I connect it to only one of the side lugs, I am scared it will fall (I like redundancy) and it swings a bit too much. If I use both lugs, the strap is a bit awkward to shoot with. I'd rather not have to disconnect one of them each time I bring the camera up.

Right now my only lens in the XF 18-55mm and one of the options I am looking at for the secondary mount point is the lens loop. https://optechusa.com/lens-loops.html My question is, will this inadvertently switch the aperture or OIS switches or turn the aperture ring on me? Can I damage the lens mount with the weight of the camera?

My other option is a tripod attachment. For that, I can either get a lug which will mean I can't set the camera down on a table properly or a plate that has an attachment point for a tether.

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?
