Like the OP I have a preference for the Canon color balance over the Nikon / Sony, which I find too warm.

However I shoot Nikon and Sony for many other reasons and then do the correction in post.  I have trouble with consistency in color correction and it is time consuming.   I need to figure out a better work flow.

Peter Coulson suggests shooting in a fixed color temperature rather than using automatic white balance.  He said that the fixed color temp during a shoot makes it much easier to do a batch correction in post processing.   I need to experiment with this.
