One thing to consider is that Tamron lenses render differently than Sigma's, which is a matter of taste. To me the Tamron's render a bit more coolly than Sigma lenses though it's a subtle shift towards a bluish cast. The Sigmas render a little more warmly. The out of focus areas also render a bit differently depending on the depth of field. With an isolated subject and shallow DOF they are naturally very similar.

Warm is an understatement. I also had the Sigma 15-30, which was so biased toward the yellow you would practically think it had built-in a sunrise filter.

Under controlled indoor lighting I found the Tamron to be relatively neutral. Outdoors it was a different story, but as with the Sigma you mentioned, the biases can be learned and can be compensated for easily enough. I also had a Sigma, a macro, some years ago with a strong yellow bias. These days it seems that highly saturated and biased colors are considered a necessity.
