So there is a tradeoff for having a smaller and lighter lens. This might not be much for some, but there is one.

Thanks. I have the T7i manual in PDF form and and it has a full description of what that post said, and it's basically the same as it said. After I get my T7i (now backordered), if the IQ of the f/3.5 lens is as good as the f/4 one, I'll keep the f/3.5 lens.
