Must we photograph events that we don't approve of?

What are your thoughts about the US Supreme Court case Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission?

Can a photographer be compelled to work for people or organizations  whose values the photographer disagrees with or strongly disapproves of? And why must the objection be based on religious principles and not personal morality or conscience?

How about a client refusing to hire a photographer based on the photographers race, religion, national origin, gender or age?
