TG-5 audio distorted (overdriven?) even with lowest rec level settings

Hi.

Tried to do some video recordings yesterday with my new TG-5. Picture quality is more than acceptable, but the problem is that the audio gets distorted (overdriven) although I have set the rec level to -10dB. I admit the shooting location had a really loud volume (a cheerleading autumn show with over 700 people in a small gymnastics hall...).

The problem is, for example all the phones that recorded video on the same location coped with the volume just fine.

I guess there is nothing I can do to fix this other than use an external digital recorder to get the audio and then mix it in Premiere or similar?

Anyone else noticed this?
