Lenstip shows Fuji glass to be better than Zeiss!

Lenstip have very comprehensive lens testing procedures which are apparently well regarded.

Of course there are many factors influencing IQ but here I am looking at just the resolution i.e. I'm asking only about the interpretation of the Lenstip MTF graphs.

They seem to suggest that even the best Zeiss lenses have lower MTF values than at least some Fuji glass! Can this be correct? Is there a simple explanation? For example:

The Otus 85mm F1.4 has a max MTF of 48 (centre @ F4) and was tested on the 22MP 5D Mk III:

However, the 90mm F2 Fuji has a max MTF of 79 (centre @ F2.8) and no points below 50 until F11 & F16. I.e. virtually all of the Fuji lens MTF values are higher than the highest Otus MTF readings! The Fuji was tested on the 16MP X-E1:

I am aware the specs of these two lenses are not exactly equivalent but nevertheless I'd have expected a different outcome to judge by the reputation of the Otus lenses.

Any thoughts or have I made a schoolboy error?
