Check the manuals manual as it might have a feature for cleaning the sensor.

I had a similar problem with my Canon dSLR and managed to remove the bits on the mirror by touching them with cotton bud on a stick. I might have made the cotton wool  slightly damp first but I never needed to touch the surface of the mirror.
